Mazari, Chohan quit PTI over May 9 vandalism as departure wave intensifies

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) pioneers Shireen Mazari and Fayyazul Hassan Chohan reported stopping the Imran Khan-drove Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in a significant difficulty to the top resistance which has seen a huge number of pioneers headed out in different directions from it following the May 9 viciousness.


Since the May 9 vandalism, a number of party leaders and lawmakers, including Aamir Mehmood Kiani, Malik Amin Aslam, Mahmood Moulvi, and Aftab Siddiqui, have publicly condemned the attacks on state facilities and announced their departure from the previous ruling party.


Mazari, a former federal minister and close aide to Khan, condemned the May 9 riots in the federal capital during a press conference. During the riots, PTI supporters ransacked and set fire to public and military facilities all over the country.


"I unequivocally denounce the May 9 brutality. She made a remark, "I have always condemned violence of any kind."


Mazari stated that she is leaving politics as well as her party. I will not be a member of any political party from this point forward."


Additionally, the senior leader of the PTI stated that her health deteriorated during the final 12 days of her detention.


She remarked, "My children and parents are [now] my priority."


"I denounce brutality against state images like the GHQ, parliament and the High Court," she added.


Sharing her trial, Mazari said her girl, Imaan Mazari, needed to go through a difficult stretch because of her rehashed captures. " My daughter was crying a lot when I was taken to jail for the third time, and I saw her video.


The carefully prepared lawmaker proceeded to say that she had likewise presented an oath to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) promising that she wouldn't turn into a piece of any vicious dissent in future.


The senior VP of the previous decision party had been captured a few times during the beyond couple of days following the May 9 uproars set off by the capture of the previous top state leader in the Al-Qadir Trust case.


She was previously re-arrested after the Gujranwala court granted her bail in a case involving the vandalism and attacks on defense and public installations during the violent protests, including the Lahore Corps Commander's House and the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.


Shortly after her press conference, Fayyazul Chohan addressed the media and also announced her departure from the PTI. Chohan blames the PTI leadership for the violence on May 9.


I will continue to expose elements hostile to Pakistan. In his remarks to a press conference in Islamabad, he stated, "I will say categorically that there was no PTI leader present who could stop workers from violence on May 9."


Chohan stated that politicians are not supposed to clash with the state institutions, opposing Imran Khan's "anti-establishment" tirade. I had been sidelined in the party throughout the previous one year and, surprisingly, when denied consent to meet Imran Khan in Zaman Park."


He reported stopping the party saying he will keep serving the nation and having a functioning impact in governmental issues.


Khan has claimed that the PTI leaders were pressured into leaving the party in response to their departure.


"My sympathies go out to everyone who has been forced to leave the party due to pressure. In addition, Khan wrote on his official Twitter handle last week, "I commend and salute all the senior members who are resisting the extreme pressure to quit the party."


The powerful National Security Committee (NSC), made up of the country's top civil and military leaders, pledged to bring the criminals to justice under the country's relevant laws, including the Army Act, following the May 9 vandalism.


As a result, thousands of party workers across the country were detained for their alleged involvement in the May 9 riots, and the party's top leadership, including vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi and secretary general Asad Umar, remained in jail despite a court's order to release them.
